Sunshine Serpents Collaborates in Production of Award Winning Wildlife Documentary The past year has been a busy one for Sunshine Serpents. We assisted with the filming of several wildlife documentaries including the BBC sponsored Passion Pictures production My Life as a Turkey. We provided and handled animals for filming. We also helped with production assistant and technician duties. The film recently debuted on the BBC in England. It got great reviews. The film was won the award for Best Writing (Joe Hutto and David Allen) at the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival. My Life as a Turkey opens the fall season of the Nature series on PBS on Wednesday, November 11, 2011 at 8:00 PM. Watch Season 30 on PBS. See more from Nature.

Visitsouth.com Gives Wildlife Tour Rave Review Back in the Summer, we had an opportunity to get out in the field with Suzanna Mars of visitsouth.com. She did a nice write up on her experience on a Sunshine Serpents Wildlife Tour. On her facebook page she made this update, "Writing about Daniel Parker of Sunshine Serpents! His wildlife tour was the best thing I have done in Florida. Cannot recommend highly enough." See article below: http://visitsouth.com/articles/article/sunshine-serpents-wildlife-tour-anywhere-florida/
Florida Field Research and Conservation We have also had the opportunity to help out on research and conservation projects including "Newtfest" and the Florida Herp Atlas Project. In "Newtfest," we sampled ponds for rare amphibians like the striped newt and gopher frog. We have also collected numerous specimens and provided data to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and Florida Musuem of Natural History for the soon to be published Florida Herp Atlas. We will be working on a research project for University of Central Florida over the next couple of years to documents the impacts of vehicular traffic on wildlife on a busy Central Florida highway. We will be doing work with herps and other interesting animals like bears.
