| Typically, Brook's kings lose
most of the bright red color and acquire the adult coloration in
their first or second year. The high red bloodline has been
selectively-bred to retain these red markings into adulthood,
while still acquiring the nice yellow coloration. Some
hatchlings from this line are so suffused in red that very
little yellow coloration is apparent. |
