Sunshine Serpents offers snake removal services in the Central Florida area. We are licensed to deal with venomous snakes. We don’t do raccoons, roaches and rats. Snakes are our specialty and we have the knowledge and experience with native species to provide you with the highest quality service.
Snakes are a natural part of the Florida ecosystem. Our state is home to a high diversity of snake species because of our warm climate and abundance of water. Many species feed on rodents and insects that are considered pests by humans. We do understand that venomous snakes can cause a problem around homes and that many people have an irrational fear of all snakes, so we offer a service for their live removal. At Sunshine Serpents, we are passionate about snakes and we insist on their humane treatment. A large percentage of snake bites involve people trying to kill snakes. You are more likely to be injured by a venomous snake by trying to kill it than leaving it alone. We discourage anyone from attempting to kill or harm a snake in any way and will only offer our services to people who comply with our live snake policy.
Our services:
-We offer our removal services in the Central Florida counties of Polk, Osceola, Hardee, Highlands, Hillsborough, Lake, Sumter, Pasco, and Hernando.
-The best thing to do is call 863-441-5067 when the snake is in sight and don’t take your eyes off of it until we arrive. Our response time may vary and, unfortunately, there may be times when we are not available.
-We do not encourage capture of unidentified snakes, though if you are able to capture the snake and contain it in a safe and human manner, we will relocate it for you.
-Once we arrive, we will do our best to locate the snake and humanely remove it, though snakes are secretive and can elude even the experts once they disappear from sight.
-Our base fee is $35, though the total will depend on the amount of time and travel required for your location. We will verify the total with you when you call. This must be paid whether we get the snake or not.
-We will help you take measures to discourage snakes from using your property and, possibly, set traps if the situation calls for it.

-We will identify a snake by photo sent via email to sunshineserpents@earthlink.net or sent via cell phone to 863-441-5067 for free. Please strive for a focused photo with the entire snake in view if possible.
-We will accept most exotic reptile species in need of a home for free. Please do not release exotics into the wild!
